Is that a massive forest fire off in the distance or something?

Hi, It's good to know that you two are OK.
I'm confused by you weather ad. It's showing that the current temp in Manley is +29 and yet the projected temps for today as +9. For me, 29 is a comfortable working temp but I become a home body at 9.

LOL Tom -- that's the winter sun at high noon, silly!!

Geez Quinton, you're spoiled! Temps above zero is jeans & t-shirts this time of year, and we're all out in our muck boots in the snow wearing tank tops and cut-offs as soon as the sun comes out and it's above freezing ;) Trust me, after -40 for a few weeks, +10 feels super warm!!

Plickety Cat is absolutely right about relative temperatures. I spent 10 years in Fargo, North Dakota then moved to San Jose, California. My first "winter" in San Jose left me wondering why everyone around me was bundled up while I was running around in short-sleeve shirts and no jacket. However, by the second "winter" I had joined the jacket-wearing crowd! Our bodies do adjust to the environment in which we find ourselves.

I have seen more than 5 days above freezing there, I hope the cabin is sealed and you amaze us with new pictures. Hope you have more sunny days ahead.
