Word of the Day: Mumpsimus
For your vocabulary expansion and conversational pleasure, may I present...
Mumpsimus: a stubborn person who insists on making an error in spite of being shown that it is wrong
ROFL -- I'm sure I've made a multitude of errors, but usually not once someone has shown me that they're wrong. I'm way too OC about efficiency to be stubborn enough to continue to do something that's proven wrong or ineffective.
No, I've just had to deal with a few mumpsimuses lately. If they're only screwing themselves, I could care less if they want to pig-headed; but when their error also screws me, I have a problem.
